WIR SIND ALLE FREAKS

Hello, I'm Chris. American Horror Story has taken over my life. This isn't a cry for help, just a blatant fact.
Be sure to check out the link below for all official updates on AHS: Freak Show.

lexie2427 asked...

Do you know any foreshadowing hints from murder house about asylum, asylum to coven, and coven to freak show?

I’ve answered this countless times but I don’t feel like going through my archive to find the last time I did, so I’ll just reiterate:

Murder House to Asylum: The main clue came from Billie Dean in the “Birth” episode, when she said that the house harbored negative energy, similar to what’s found in prisons and asylums. Vivien was also institutionalized for a few episodes. The Harmons also came from Massachusetts, which is where Asylum takes place.

Asylum to Coven: The clues mainly came from the jukebox songs: “I Put a Spell on You” and “Love Potion No. 9”. Sister Jude also told Kit in “Continuum” that one day she’s going to “fly her ass right out of there” and that she doesn’t need a hat, hinting that she would be a witch the next season. There was also the debated hint that Lana wore ruby slippers during the Name Game, which alludes to The Wizard of Oz, which had witches.

Coven to Freak Show: Lots of clues up for debate, so I’ll just say them all. Madison calls Nan “Mumbles the Clown" in "The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks", and Fiona tells Myrtle that "life is a carnival" in "The Sacred Taking". Kyle and Zoe run off to Florida, which is where Freak Show is taking place. Queenie wore a shirt that said "freak" on it in "Boy Parts", and Fiona warned Cordelia that a witch could be videotaped and turned into a viral freak show in “Bitchcraft”. In the finale we get an aerial view of Myrtle’s burning and some think it looks like a clown, with her red dress as the red nose.

please answer to me. Emma Roberts is my fave actress within my age group, and her place in fs is def going to be trippy. i know freak show is going to make a lot of emphasis on the honorifics within the show, i think emma might start as the local psychic but twisty will kill her and put her head in the crystal ball. lol.

Interesting theory! I’m stoked to learn more about Maggie too.

youregoingtopieinthere replied to your chat:AHS fandom: They can’t bring Pepper back! That…

i dont understand why people are so mad with this pepper thing, like shes not even a major character, you still can watch asylum without watching freak show and vice versa. the season will not be about pepper, the season will be about a freak show.

  • They can't bring Pepper back! That defeats the whole purpose of an anthology! I don't approve of this decision.
  • OMG imagine if season 5 is Asylum the sequel? Sarah playing Lana again is all I ever wanted!

Referencing the next season of AHS in the preceding. Anybody know if this is a coincidence? Or if they mention “coven” in Asylum?

"Events that unleash psychic energy into the environment, where it’s absorbed. Like the way a battery stores energy. You’ll see it all the time in places like prisons or asylums. Negative energy feeds on trauma and pain." - American Horror Story: Murder House Episode 11 Birth

"Do you really think, with Twitter and Facebook, that if a witch does anything … she won’t be videotaped and turned into some viral freak show like a dog who says ‘i love you’?" - American Horror Story: Coven Episode 1 Bitchcraft

This isn’t a coincidence. Ryan Murphy intentionally puts clues typically in the last few episodes of the season to hint at what next season’s theme will be. The clues for Coven in Asylum weren’t a direct mention of the word like the clues you pointed out, but the hints at a witch season mostly came from the jukebox songs, including “I Put a Spell on You” and “Love Potion No. 9”. There are plenty of other hints in all three seasons that point towards the subsequent story.

OMG NOW THAT WE KNOW THIS LETS TRY TO GUESS WHAT SEASON 5 WILL BE ABOUT

Well like I said, the clues usually appear in the last few episodes of the previous season, so we can’t make any guesses on season 5 until we actually see Freak Show…
